At Essex Physical Therapy and Chiropractic of Andover, we take health and your safety very seriously. The health of our patients and our staff is top priority. In light of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) that is spreading worldwide, we wanted to remind our patient’s that we are taking every precaution to control the spread of any disease.
We will continue to:
Disinfect all surfaces and equipment after each patient use and throughout the day with C.D.C. approved disinfectants.
We will be abstaining from shaking hands or hugging when greeting.
We will try to keep traffic in the waiting area to a minimum thus please only come as a patient and with one guardian if necessary.
We will be removing all magazines from the waiting area.
We will provide hand sanitizer/alcohol spray to be used when entering and leaving the office.
As per the CDC recommendations, if you and or a family member are feeling sick, have flu-like symptoms, have a fever or cough, runny nose & sneezing, or have come in close contact with a confirmed COVID-19 patient within 14 days of symptom onset, or a history of travel from affected geographic areas (see below) within 14 days of symptom onset, please do not come into the office but rather call our office at 978-470-1499 to reschedule. We will be more than happy to assist you when you’re feeling better.

General guidelines from the CDC to help individuals prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses include, but are not limited to:
1.) Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
2.) Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth.
3.) Stay home when you are sick.
4.) Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
5.) Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces using a regular household cleaning spray or wipe.
6.) Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after going to the bathroom; before eating; and after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing.
